Nesa and io.net: The Future of Decentralized AI on Blockchain

Nesa Org is a private decentralized layer one blockchain that hosts over 1,000 different AI models. Nesa’s platform is designed to integrate AI directly onto the blockchain, creating more secure and efficient models through trustless interfaces. Its native utility token $NES helps power the network by rewarding AI model developers and node operators when queries are made.

Nesa’s mission is to democratize access to cheap, trustless AI models and compete against larger centralized AI providers like OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and AWS AI. The partnership with io.net helps Nesa by supplying readily available, on-demand decentralized GPUs.

Expanding the Nesa AI Infrastructure

Nesa and io.net’s partnership began in April 2024. Working together with io.net, Nesa has seen a rapid expansion of its offerings to support higher-volume network activity. io.net’s decentralized GPU clusters allowed the Nesa network to add and process more complex AI workloads for more advanced models at scale.

io.net benefits from a strong partnership with Nesa by having a reliable source of demand for its suppliers to sell compute to. The Nesa network requires immense GPU compute power to process the over 1,000 models. io.net’s access to over 300,000 verified GPUs across more than 130 countries allows the decentralized network to power Nesa’s users at a fraction of the cost of centralized data centers.

The Future of Decentralized AI Infrastructure

The partnership between Nesa and io.net has proven mutually beneficial over the last year. Nesa has benefited from cheaper compute costs from a provider aligned with its vision of decentralized AI, and io.net has benefited from increased visibility as a provider to a large AI network while offering compute suppliers an added reliable revenue stream.

With both parties expected to expand their respective infrastructures in the coming years, the current partnership represents a small scope of what a fully decentralized AI blockchain ecosystem might look like. AI models are increasingly being leveraged across various blockchains, utilizing the capabilities of decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) and powered by GPU providers like io.net.
